'Sunny & Bobo' - Children's Book (2024)

'Sunny & Bobo' is a passion project that has been a labour of love over many years which I wrote and illustrated as an independent release. I am very excited to have it released into the world, to be able to share with children, parents/carers and educators.

​Book Summary

Sunny is a budgie who lives in a cage, safe from the scary, unknown world outside. One morning, a beetle called Bobo crawls into Sunny's cage, who Sunny learns has been displaced from his home in South Africa. Bobo's plight opens Sunny's heart and mind to a brand-new perspective, and together they brainstorm ways to help him return home. This tale of friendship aims to illustrate the power of compassion towards people who are different from ourselves and people who have walked a different path in life.
